A preposition is a word showing the relation of a noun or a pronoun with another word like a person or a thing in a sentence. It is basically placed before a noun or a pronoun, but in certain cases nouns are followed by prepositions. Here are a list of some words that are used as prepositions:- In, on, at, by, to, ,for, into, of, off, with, from, along, over, between, behind, below, before, during, after, near, against, upon, among, under, above, up, down, beside, across, till, until, through, since. Lets take a look at the following examples. The underlined words are prepositions. 1. There were no cell phones until the 19th century. 2. My friend is fond of crabs. 3.
